Aquarium Iron test kit

Regular testing is required when tap water contains iron, non-chelated iron can be toxic at 0.3mg/L and above. In marine aquariums iron levels should not be detectable, natural ocean water has an average iron concentration of 0.001mg/L. Regular testing is recommended in planted aquariums, iron is an essential trace element and is rapidly depleted by plants.
